Hi All Century Toastmasters and soon to be Club members.
Here are the highlights for the meeting....
The SMALL CONFERENCE ROOM was filled with 12 members and 3 New Guests from D&R International.
They were Kate McGinnis, Emily English, and Dustin Rosa.
All of you are always welcome to our weekly meeting. Thanks for making time for our meeting. We hope you benefit from the experience.
Alan Colton, our club President, started the meeting on time and introduced himself as the Toastmaster
For the Educational Moment, Alan Colton explained the various functionaries for the meetings, and the club members volunteered for positions for the next two weeks
Prepared Speakers:
1st Speaker: Alan Colton did his 2nd speech towards his ATM-B. He spoke from the Story Telling manual and told a personal story of his experience with the Boy Scouts on a 50 mile canoe trip.
2nd Speaker: Evonne Spineto did her 6th speech towards her CTM on being a Home-aholic - one who is addicted to constant home decor improvements, and one who knows that the best sheets in the world come from Milan, Italy. As evidenced by the Pope using those sheets.
Table Topics Master was Ferdonya Henderson, she picked Tony Gutierrez and Maury Tasem to speak on providing positive evaluations. They all did a wonderful job of talking spontaneously.
Joe Stewart was the General Evaluator, Gail DaSilva was Evaluator #1, and Dick Larkin was Evaluator #2, Maury Tasem was the Grammarian/ AH counter and Julio Sanchez was the Timer. All did a great job of Evaluation.
The ballots were counted and the awards were all close calls:
Best Speaker: Evonne Spineto
Best Table Topics: Maury Tasem, Congratulations keep up the Great work.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 pm. <
Attached is the AGENDA/ FLYER for the next meeting on 1/14/04.
MY BEST MONEY TIP is the THEME, PROVIDENCE is the Word of the WEEK (WOW).
