Our President, Alan Colton, opened the meeting on time. He invited all members and guests to introduce themselves with a bit of Hollywood flair and a Telegenic attitude. There are several Telegenic members and a few hams.

Our First Time Toastmaster, Donna Johnson was introduced.

The theme was Lights, Camera, Action and the Word of the Week (WOW): Telegenic - Having an appearance and manner that are markedly attractive to television viewers. She did a fine job and is a natural in front of crowds, especially recounting her time in showbiz.

Kudos to Amir Sherif on earning his CTM and to Matt Greenbergs on the birth of his daughter.

Prepared Speakers:
1st Speaker: Julio Sanchez did his 5th speech on "What You Do". He related the story of who you are and what you do are not necessarily what appears on the outside. Julio has shown to be a natural storyteller with a philosophical bent. It is a good lesson in life. Julio earned his 1/2 CTM ribbon.

Table Topics filled up time remaining with Dick (Yes, I can!) Larkin serving as Table topics master as well as evaluating Julio's speech. The topic was reaching far back into the memory banks to recount the 1st favorite television show. You can tell a lot about a person by their preference.....

General Evaluator was Joe Stewart and last minute volunteer evaluator was Dick (Yes, I can!) Larkin.

Last minute volunteer for timer was Byron Shovlain and another last minute volunteer, Ah Counter/Grammarian was Stephen Jaworski.

The ballots were counted.
Best Speaker: Julio Sanchez,
Best Table Topic: Gabriel and
Best Evaluator: Dick (Yes, I can!) Larkin

Outgoing President, Alan Colton, was outgoing early before the end of the meeting so incoming President, Dick (Yes, I can!) Larkin thanked Alan and the other last term officers. We look forward to more from our new President. The meeting was adjourned at 12:55 pm.

Next week’s meeting is scheduled for 6/30/04, hope to see you there.
